Two years ago our area was inundated with rains as a result of hurricane Irene. In some places, particularly in the Catskills, the flooding caused widespread damage. I even remember the burner unit of my furnace being completely submerged in about 12 inches of water. Fortunately it still worked fine after the water receded. Yet, while the rest of us were surveying the damage, some neighborhood boys saw this as a great recreational opportunity. I couldn’t resist recording this moment of carefree youth in action. This scene brought me back to my teen years. I couldn’t quite bring myself to jumping in though.
